Tylney Hall
Located in Rochester near Hook. This is my favorite English Country house hotel. it isn't the biggest, or the fanciest but I think it feels exactly like an English Country House. I usually stay in Room 8. That is the original master suite. It has a beautiful sitting room with a fireplace, Bedroom with 4 poster bed and a lovely bathroom with a deep tub.
I have had my meals served upstairs. But I also love the dinners here. There is an intimate library or large formal hall where you can start with cocktails. They take your order there and then call you into the dining area to be served. The service is all white linen, there is usually a piano player... there is a trolley where the meat of the day is carved right at your table or a lovely 4 star menu. Each table is quiet and you have the feeling you are at a lovely party with 20-25 tables.
